Rifidi Edge is based on providing a common api to readers and sensors and allowing developers to leverage ALE or an RFID customized Esper Event Server for application development:
• 100% Java and built on ultra-lightweight Equinox OSGI Platform
• Supports dynamic patch and system updates from internet or download
• Simple Sensor API Layer (SAL) to interact with a wide variety of sensors
• Support for LLRP, ALE 1.1 Specification for Reading, Grouping and Security
•Supports communication via Web Services, JMS, RMI and XML over HTTP
